The Possible Reasons Why We Feel Sad

There could be plenty of reasons why people feel lonely in their Childhood, Adult and old age,but before that let us define first if what is Sadness.

What is Sadness?

According to Wikipedia,Sadness (also called heavy-heartedness) is emotional pain associated with, or characterized by feelings of disadvantage, loss, despair, grief, helplessness, disappointment and sorrow. An individual experiencing sadness may become quiet or lethargic, and withdraw themselves from others. Crying is often an indication of sadness.[1] (Wikipedia)

Common Causes of Sadness

  1. Separation from your love one

Specially for Children, Sadness is part of the normal process of the child separating from an early symbiosis with the mother and becoming more independent. Every time a child separates just a tiny bit more, he or she will have to cope with a small loss. If the mother cannot allow the minor distress involved, the child may never learn how to deal with sadness by themselves.

  1. A result of bad experience

If something awful has happened to you, of course you’re going to feel sad, angry, hurt or in shock, sometimes we cannot cope up right away and we often linger in this situation, hence it hurts us all over again.

  1. Jealousy

I think no one contemplates to feel jealous with someone else, specially to our friends and love ones, but it does happened and we sense it. We often get jealous due to our insecurity,we often see that people are getting successful in their life (career, love and family),but we don’t visualize our own big hit, instead we think that we are left behind , we often envy the things that other people have and don’t appreciate what we acquire, this is very common and we need to get rid of this, because this is one factor why we feel lonely.
